Brandi Criscitiello is a LOCAL award-winning artist and dedicated art educator. Serving as the art teacher at White Oak High School in Jacksonville and an instructor for NC Virtual Public School and High School, Brandi’s passion for fostering creativity has earned her prestigious recognition, including being named Global Educator of the Year at White Oak Highschool.
Her vibrant personal artwork captures the textures and landscapes of the region, frequently earning spots in regional showcases, such as the State of the Art exhibit at the Cameron Art Museum in Wilmington and the North Carolina Museum of Art's The Creative Lives of Educators exhibition.
Deeply invested in community public art, Brandi is the original, primary artist behind Swansboro's celebrated "Swans By the Sea" community project. Through this initiative, she collaborates closely with local business owners to bring customized, large-scale painted swan sculptures to life—blending realistic, abstract, and whimsical styles to celebrate the unique historical and cultural stories of the Swansboro community.
