A Christmas Carol

Ring in the most wonderful time of the year with Legacy Theater’s annual production of A Christmas Carol. This classic Charles Dickens novella has been adapted for the stage by Erika Hose in a beautiful telling of this famous story. The story centers on Ebenezer Scrooge, a penny-pinching miser who cares nothing for the people around him, least of all his hopelessly downtrodden employee Bob Cratchit and infectiously optimistic nephew, Fred.

Legacy has a brand new cast, a new theater, new sets and costumes, new music but the same beautiful story that will have you proclaiming “God bless us, everyone!”

This performance is exclusively for Seaside Arts Council members and their guests at the special SAC rate ($10 members/$15 non-members).  Seating is limited.

Legacy’s theater is located at 2442 Onslow Dr., Jacksonville, NC.

We’re thrilled to have Jacob back this year! This a young, energetic performer and SC native has shared stages with songwriting masters from Edwin McCain to David Wilcox, and hangs out with guitar heroes like Tommy Emmanuel and Tim Reynolds (right-hand man to Dave Matthews). According to the Florence Morning News, “Johnson sounds like Norman Rockwell paintings and the open road. He is a virtuoso, expressing a working comprehension of dozens of techniques and styles. He has blended and blurred the lines of genres to craft a sound he calls “Neo-Acoustic Folk/Funk’.”

In short, to quote Tommy Emmanuel, “Jacob rocks!”.

Montana Skies

Montana Skies

Their name, Montana Skies, is a metaphor for musical freedom, and they continue to follow their creative instincts far beyond traditional boundaries – delving into music from Pink Floyd to Vivaldi, as well as originals. Combining classical technique, jazz improv and the power of rock n’ roll, Jonathan’s guitar wizardry and Jenn’s blazing electric cello combine to create a remarkable sound.

Called everything from chamber rock to psychedelic strings, rest assured, this ain’t your granny’s chamber music.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with appetizers and cash bar.
